Beaumont Man Charged In Sexual Assault Of Girl, Police Say
Beaumont police arrested a man accused of assaulting a teenage girl at a San Bernardino County gym, police announced Wednesday.

BEAUMONT, CA — Beaumont Police on Friday arrested a suspect in the sexual assault of a Beaumont girl.
Ryan Thomas Taylor, 26, of San Bernardino County, was arrested Friday and booked on multiple felony charges, including rape by force, unlawful sex with a minor, oral copulation and sexual penetration by force, according to police. He is also being held on extortion charges.
He was being held at the Smith Correctional Facility in Banning, according to jail records. His next court appearance was scheduled for May 19.

Taylor was accused of sexually assaulting the unidentified girl he met at the Rancho Cucamonga gym. Police say he also blackmailed her on multiple occasions.
Their first meeting was in 2019 when the girl was 14, according to a statement from the Beaumont Police Department.

A short time later, he began asking for "inappropriate photos from her" and then threatened to "expose her to friends and family if she didn't comply. He also began sexually assaulting her both at a gym in Redlands and near a Beaumont home," the police said.
