Beaumont Ward Youth Camp Fundraiser Golf Tournament a Resounding Success at Golden Era Golf Course
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints hosted a successful Youth Camp Fundraiser Golf Tournament.
Beaumont, CA — April 18, 2026 — The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Beaumont Ward, proudly hosted a successful Youth Camp Fundraiser Golf Tournament on April 18, 2026, at Golden Era Golf Course. The event brought together community members, golfers, and volunteers for a day of fun, fellowship, and purpose—raising funds to support youth ages 11 to 18 in attending church summer camps.
According to event coordinator Robin Williams, the tournament exceeded expectations. “It was a good turnout and this is the best fundraiser so far,” Williams shared. The positive atmosphere was echoed by participants throughout the day. Golfers praised both the event and the course, offering comments such as, “I really like this golf course,” “I enjoyed myself,” and “This is a great course—it is well maintained.”
Many attendees also expressed appreciation for the broader mission behind the event. One golfer noted, “We just found out about this golf course and all you do for the community non-profits and churches by offering the course free of charge. Thank you.” Others highlighted the overall experience, with one participant remarking, “The weather was perfect and the golf was fun—we get to golf, donate, and enjoy a BBQ lunch.”

A total of 28 youth volunteers contributed to the success of the fundraiser, assisting with event operations and hospitality. Beyond fundraising, the event also reflects a deeper purpose within the Beaumont Ward youth program. As Williams explained, older youth ages 16 and up are entrusted with planning their summer camp experiences, including organizing activities and logistics—providing valuable leadership development opportunities.
This year’s camps promise memorable experiences for all participants. The young women will travel to Big Bear for a cabin camping experience, while the young men will head to the Kern River for a more rugged outdoor adventure featuring tent camping and white-water rafting.
