Big Band Music Under the Stars
A wonderful night of music and dancing at the beautiful Franco Gardens to benefit CAST Players Community Theater.
Do you love 40’s Music? Then grab your dancing shoes and bring a friend. CAST Players is having a "Big Band" night under the stars on August 26 from 6 to 9 pm at the beautiful Franco Gardens in Beaumont. This is a joint fundraiser for CAST Players community theater and the Beaumont Cherry Valley Recreation and Park District to raise money for improvements to our home at the Beaumont Women’s Center. It promises to be a night of great entertainment with the featured artists, The Harmony Sisters and Their Little Big Band.
This amazing group features songs from the 30’s and 40's; the height of the Big Band era. The Harmony Sisters have been singing together since 2002 as the vocalists for the Bill Blanchard Little Big Band. Bill loved the music of the famous female trios like the Andrews Sisters and arranged the many intricate harmonies that you will hear sun by the trio. Each singer has her own style and brings decades of experience to the group. The trio is a unique element of this group, adding an aspect not found in other big bands. They play concerts and dances all over the Inland Empire and we are delighted to have them at our event.
There will room to dance, or just come watch, listen and sing along on a balmy summer night under the sky. It's not just for couples; it’s a great place to meet other singles who share your love of the great music of the Big Band.
Throughout the evening, there will be raffle items and a live auction. Some of the many wonderful prizes up for grabs include: foursomes of golf at Oak Valley or Tukwet, Gift certificates to several local restaurants, automotive services, gift baskets from local pet resorts, salons and spas, plants and garden art from Cherry Valley nursery, cases of high end wine, and a Morongo package that includes a 2-night stay, dinner at Cielo and a spa visit. There are many more items, including a walk-on role in our upcoming play, “Bingo The Winning Musical”. Be sure to bring your checkbook, credit card or some extra cash.
