Scorpion, Cockroach, Beetles, Oh My! 'Bugs, Bugs & More Bugs' in Banning

Biologists from Loma Linda University are expected to bring live and dead bugs to Dorothy Ramon Learning Center, 17 W. Hays St., 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. April 14.

A desert scorpion, hissing cockroach, and jewel scarab beetles may be among the bugs biologists from Loma Linda University bring to Second Saturday Sidewalk Storytelling in Banning on April 14.

"Bugs, Bugs & More Bugs" is the theme, and the presentation includes live bugs that "crawl, hop, run, fly, and creep" - as well as dead bugs, according to promoters for the event scheduled 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at Dorothy Ramon Learning Center.

"Learn all about them and Native American stories and songs, too," an announcment states. "Bug-fun activities! Join the biologists from Loma Linda University and their bug friends for free, family-friendly fun . . . "
