California Wildfire Update: Tuesday, June 28

Here are the latest stats on wildfires in the state.

More than 5,200 firefighters remain assigned to active wildfires in California, as tens of thousands of acres continue to burn across the state.

"Temperatures in many parts of California are expected to be 5-15 degrees above normal, and humidity will likely drop into the single digits in the afternoon," Cal Fire officials said Tuesday. "This combination will increase the fire risk. An isolated afternoon thunderstorm will be possible over the Sierra today as the high pressure system moves northeast into Nevada."
