Child, 4, Lone Survivor Of I-10 Multi-Car Inland Empire Crash
A Sunday afternoon crash on Interstate 10 near Colton claimed the lives of four people.

COLTON, CA — A solo car crash on eastbound I-10 Sunday killed four people and left a 4-year-old child critically injured, according to the California Highway Patrol.
At 4:45 p.m., witnesses say the driver of a Toyota Camry drifted from the freeway just east of Riverside Avenue onto the shoulder. The vehicle struck a tree stump and then exploded into flames, according to CHP Sgt. John Sauceda.
Four of the five occupants were killed.

"The 4-year-old child was hospitalized and remained in critical condition," Sauceda said.
The San Bernardino County Coroner's Bureau has yet to release the identity of those who died, pending notification of next of kin.
