The project will consist of slurry seal, asphalt overlay, and asphalt rubber aggregate membrane (ARAM) treatment to approximately 36 lane miles. Construction will be divided into five areas located throughout the downtown area of Beaumont.
The $3.5 million project is a result of an amendment to the Fiscal Year 2021-2025 Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) and reallocation of funding following a fiscal year-end review of finances. The project will utilize unrestricted General Fund Reserve dollars and reimbursement through a grant from CalRecycle for the use of ARAM.
