Authorities received a call about bombs at the school Wednesday night, but no bombs were found.

Classes were being held as usual at Centennial High School on Thursday, despite another telephoned threat that explosives had been planted at the campus.
According to Corona police Sgt. Paul Mercado, authorities received a call about 9 p.m. Wednesday from someone stating there were “bombs at Centennial High School.”
Officers searched the campus with the help of a police dog, and no explosives were found, Mercado said. A private security guard was stationed overnight at the campus.

Centennial High School classes were canceled Tuesday when an anonymous caller made a similar threat, claiming there two bombs left in backpacks at the Rimpau Avenue campus. Corona police searched the grounds and located two backpacks that appeared to have been abandoned.
Mercado said bomb squad technicians were summoned and determined that the objects did not contain any explosive materials.
