Coroner ID's RivCo Motorcyclist Killed In Sunday Crash

A 28-year-old man died about an hour following the collision.

RIVERSIDE COUNTY, CA — A motorcyclist killed in a crash over the weekend was identified by the Riverside County Sheriff's Department Coroner's Bureau Tuesday.

Riverside resident Jose Ramirez, 28, was identified as the victim of the fatal crash, and his next of kin have been notified, the coroner's bureau said.

According to Sgt. Emilio Angulo of the Riverside Police Department, the crash occurred at 5:09 p.m. Sunday at the intersection of Magnolia Avenue and Myers Street in the Arlington area.

"Arriving officers and firefighters found the victim suffering from severe injuries," Angulo said. "The motorcyclist was transported to a local hospital and later succumbed to his injuries."

Ramirez was taken to Riverside Community Hospital, where he died approximately just over an hour after the initial injury.

"The driver of the other vehicle involved in the crash remained at the scene and was cooperating with the investigation," Angulo said.
