MORENO VALLEY, CA —A 40-year-old woman was killed and another person seriously injured when a sports sedan crashed into a pickup truck and a garage in Moreno Valley, authorities said Tuesday.

Keonia Brown of Moreno Valley was fatally injured about 11:15 p.m. Monday in the 11900 block of Indian Street, near Ironwood Avenue, according to the Riverside County Sheriff's Department.

Sgt. Robert Grmusha said Brown was a passenger in a 2003 Acura MDX that was going northbound on Indian Street, "at a high rate of speed," when it crossed the southbound lanes, hit a curb and "became airborne," crashing into a parked Chevrolet Silverado and then the garage of a home.
