COVID-19 Vaccination Clinic Opens In City Of Riverside
Curative Inc. will be handling the immunizations, beginning at 9 a.m. and concluding about 4 p.m. Saturday.

RIVERSIDE, CA — The city of Riverside will open its first public COVID-19 vaccination clinic Saturday outside the Convention Center downtown, with appointments now being accepted.
Santa Clara-based Curative Inc., which has been tapped to oversee numerous testing sites in Riverside County, will be handling the immunizations, beginning at 9 a.m. and concluding about 4 p.m. Saturday, according to the city.
"Riverside has had great success on the testing front, working with Curative to dramatically increase residents' ability to make informed decisions about their health and the health of their families," Councilman Jim Perry said. "I look forward to seeing us replicate that success with vaccinations."

Officials said Moderna SARS-Cov-2 doses will be administered. The vaccinations require two visits, roughly four weeks apart.
The clinic is expected to operate daily, during the same hours Monday to Friday -- but that depends on the availability of shots, according to the city. If supplies are not interrupted, as many as 500 immunizations could be dispensed each day, officials said.

The Convention Center site is not associated with any of the county's public clinics.
All residents 65 years and over are eligible to receive vaccinations, as well as qualifying workers identified in Phase 1B of the California Department of Public Health's guidelines, including hospital workers, first responders, teachers and some agricultural workers.
