Desert Hills Premium Outlets Temporarily Closed: Coronavirus
The closure came after "extensive discussions with federal, state and local officials," according to the property owner.
CABAZON, CA — The Desert Hills Premium Outlets in Cabazon will be closed through March 29 as part of a nationwide closure of all Simon-owned properties in an attempt to reduce the spread of the coronavirus.
The closures came after what Simon described as "extensive discussions with federal, state and local officials."
"The health and safety of our shoppers, retailers and employees is of paramount importance and we are taking this step to help reduce the spread of COVID-19 in our communities," David Simon, Simon's chairman, CEO and president, said in announcing the temporary closures.

Although Riverside County businesses have not been mandated to close, an order issued Monday by the region's top health official prohibits residents and businesses from conducting social gatherings of 10 or more people. Read the county order here. Gatherings of less than 10 people must have enough available room to maintain six feet of space between attendees — known as "social distancing."
