Banning Starbucks Fire Forces Temporary Closure: PHOTOS, VIDEO
The fire broke out on Friday afternoon at the popular coffee shop.
BANNING, CA – Fire officials were on scene Friday at the Starbucks store on Ramsey Street, after a blaze broke out, the agency reports. According to Jody Hagemann of the Riverside County Fire Department, the fire was reported at 1:18 p.m.
"The first arriving engine company reported a column of smoke visible from a commercial building," Hagemann reported. "The fire was knocked down shortly after arrival."
Nearly two dozen firefighters responded to the scene, according to fire reports. The building houses both a Starbucks and Verizon store, but only the Starbucks was damaged. Crews were expected to remain on scene for overhaul after the fire was doused.
