Flying Out Of PSP? You Can Finally Take An Uber or Lyft
Ride-sharing companies such as Uber and Lyft were previously not allowed to pick up visitors on airport property.

PALM SPRINGS, CA — Uber and Lyft drivers are now both allowed to pick up travelers from Palm Springs International Airport — and one of the companies is offering a great deal to celebrate.
Ride-sharing companies such as Uber and Lyft were previously not allowed to pick up visitors on airport property, forcing travelers to cross the street to be picked up by awaiting drivers.
In January, the Palm Springs City Council unanimously approved an ordinance allowing ride sharing companies to drive directly to the terminal.

"The city council recognizes visitors have a desire to use ride- sharing services at Palm Springs International Airport," City Manager David Ready said. "Tourism is important for the city and we want to ensure everyone has an easy and enjoyable experience at the airport."
Representatives from Lyft said they are "thrilled" to now be able to operate at the local airport.
