Genealogy Workshops Continue this Fall at Beaumont Library

Learn more about family history sources, genealogical DNA testing, and share your research with and get help from others!

Stop by Beaumont Library over the new few weeks and attend the continuing series of Family History workshops that follow up the well-attended "Beginning Genealogy" class held in September.

"Genealogy 201" will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, October 9. This intermediate course will teach you how to use various genealogical databases, websites, and other resources, along with a review of genealogical software packages that can be used to record family tree information, put it on the web, etc.

"Family Trees for Teens" takes place at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, October 16. Teens can fill the form, that we will provide in advance, with names, birth/death dates, and places, starting with themselves, then their parents, grandparents, and great-grandparents. They can bring the results to the workshop to see if they can dig deeper into their family history.
