Homeowner Shot In Moss Drive Robbery, Suspects At Large: Report
A spate of recent armed robberies in this prestigious neighborhood of Riverside County has left homeowners nervous as police seek leads.

RIVERSIDE, CA — A homeowner was hospitalized in critical condition after being shot while confronting a trio of would-be burglars who broke into a Riverside home early Sunday morning, authorities said.
The home invasion was reported at 4:41 a.m. in the 18000 block of Moss Road, according to the Riverside Police Department.
"Three suspects broke into the home and shot the homeowner during the attempted robbery. The victim was taken to a local hospital in critical condition and detectives have responded to assume the investigation," Officer Ryan Railsback said.

Police did not say how many times the homeowner was shot, but said he was expected to survive.
The suspects fled before police arrived at the scene, and investigators were trying to determine whether the break-in was related to a spate of otherhome burglariesrecently reported in the area.
