I-10 Morongo Travel Center Opens In Cabazon

CABAZON, CA — The Morongo Band of Mission Indians has opened its Interstate 10 Morongo Travel Center in Cabazon that includes a 32-pump gas station, dog park, car wash, slot machines, a convenience store and other offerings.

Located behind Morongo’s existing gas station at Morongo Trail and Thunder Road, the new 6.7-acre Travel Center also has a bank of electric vehicle charging stations, eight Tesla superchargers, RV dumping, propane fills, six high-speed diesel truck pumps and diesel exhaust fluid.

“Our sleek new travel center has everything a traveler could ask for and more, from numerous Tesla and electric car charging stations to the lowest fuel prices around,” said Morongo Tribal Chairman Charles Martin. “Patrons can stop by to wash their car, gas up, charge up, grab a snack, or relax while they enjoy gaming at one of more than 100 slot machines inside.”

Designed by the DLR Group and built by Moorefield Construction, Inc., the travel center will create more than 30 new jobs for the community, adding to the 2,500 jobs Morongo already provides, according to the tribe.

The project marks the latest addition to Morongo’s master-planned development of retail, hospitality, and service offerings along Interstate 10 in Cabazon. In recent years, Morongo has also welcomed In-N-Out Burger, Starbucks, Taco Bell, Chipotle, Cold Stone Creamery, Panda Express and a new flagship store for Hadley Fruit Orchards.
