IE Man 'Pushes Woman Out Of Her Car, Attempts To Run Her Down,' Deputies Say
An Inland Empire woman was pushed from a moving car during a domestic violence incident, San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department says.
APPLE VALLEY, CA — A woman survived being pushed out of a moving car and almost run over by the man who did it Tuesday afternoon, according to the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department.
Joseph Outlaw, 36, of Apple Valley, was arrested Tuesday and booked into the SBCSD High Desert Jail on pending charges of attempted murder and reckless driving charges. He was due to appear in Victorville Superior Court on Thursday, according jail records.
Shortly before 2 p.m., Victorville Sheriff's Department officers responded to Seventh Street and Westside Road on reports of a domestic-related assault, according to Deputy Eric De Dios.

"During the investigation, deputies learned that the victim and Outlaw were inside the victim's vehicle as she was driving on Seventh Street," De Dios said. Officers stated that Outlaw "pushed the victim from the moving vehicle, then got into the drivers seat and drove the vehicle at the victim, attempting to strike her with it."
The victim was able to move out of the way and was not hit, and Outlaw fled the scene.

Victorville Fire Department medics attended the victim and took her to a nearby hospital for treatment. Meanwhile, police located Outlaw in the area of Zenda Street near Center Street, where he fled a brief foot pursuit, according to De Dios. Outlaw was apprehended and booked a short time later.
