JOBS: Aldi Hiring Event in Yucaipa on Friday

The newest grocer in town is again hosting a hiring event near the Pass, as they look to fill dozens of store associate positions, Patch is told.

According to company representatives, the latest hiring event will be on Friday, Dec. 18, at the Yucaipa Community Center, 34900 Oak Glen Road. It’s scheduled to run from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Aldi says those ultimately hired to be store associates can expect to earn $13 an hour, and up to $21 an hour with tenure.

Here are the job requirements:

• Must be 18 years or older to apply
• High school diploma or GED
• Must be available to work anytime between 5 a.m. and 11 p.m., Monday -Sunday
• Retail experience preferred
• Drug screening and background check
• Ability to lift 45 pounds

ALDI is planning on opening approximately 25 Southern California stores between March and July 2016, and operating approximately 45 stores by the end of 2016.
