Juvenile Court To Reopen For Emergency Matters
Concerns about coronavirus infection among some staff members at the Riverside facility forced the court's complete closure.
RIVERSIDE, CA ā A Juvenile Court that was shut down in Riverside over concerns about coronavirus infection is scheduled to reopen Monday to hear emergency matters only.
The entire Riverside Superior Court system is shut down through the end of the month, except for emergency matters. But the Juvenile Court at 9991 County Farm Road completely shuttered after it was discovered that some staffers had potential COVID-19 exposure. All of them tested negative for the virus, according to Marita Ford, public information officer for the courts.
"The court has not had any other reported cases of exposure, or potential exposure, in that facility. In the absence of any further information being provided this week, the court will reopen at the end of the recommended fourteen-day quarantine period, effective Monday, April 27, 2020," according to Ford.
