From Cord Media: Make the family’s holiday a lot brighter with a trip to WildLights, the most festive time of the year at The Living Desert. Starting Friday, December 16, WildLights will be open nightly from 6 to 9 p.m. through December 24.

“Thousands of guests have already visited WildLights, a cherished holiday tradition where nearly a million twinkling lights transform the zoo into a festive winter wonderland,” said Allen Monroe President/CEO of The Living Desert. “All of our new attractions, including seeing the animals of Africa, have been well received.”

The animals of Africa, including cheetahs, zebras, warthogs, fennec fox, among others, are on exhibit and visible to guests throughout the evening. WildLights visitors can also marvel at a luminescent herd of animal lanterns including two adult giraffes, one baby giraffe, two zebras and three cheetahs, with the tallest standing 16 feet. A “snowy” Whoville winter wonderland, also new this year, offers attendees the chance to have “snowball” fights and play in the frosty white, artificial snow for a two-dollar entrance fee. Plus, favorite holiday movies are playing throughout the evening in the Village WaTuTu outdoor theater.
