LLLeindecker & Associates ~ Beatles - CBS Sunday Night ~ and you, 50 Years Ago?

LLLeindecker & Associates - gives you a television reminder:  The Beatles:  The Night That Changed America - Sunday 8:00 p.m. CBS

This Sunday, February 9th I will be watching the above special.  I did not watch the initial event, though I seem to remember it vicariously ~ my aunt, who was like a sister grew up in that era of the 60's Creedence, Three Dog Night, Beach Boys, so on, so on. She was in love with Paul, I loved Ringo -- still do.

I regress.  In this era of Facebook, Twitter, Instagram we celebrate a time when we had three networks, basic talent, raw talent, remember when. 50 Years ago this coming Sunday marks the first appearance of the FAB 4  on The Ed Sullivan Show.  CBS is celebrating this event with a Special Sunday night at 8:00 p.m. There will be appearances from artists who will perform the Beatles music, music that is relevant today, and is at times incorporated by other artists.  For me this is an event that I will watch to see what I remember, where it takes me back to, should be fun.

Speaking of fun here is a bit of trivia, just to get you -- preped for Sunday night.

Which American Celebrity Sent the Beatles a Congratulatory Telegram Wishing them Success in America -- a fact Announced During the Show by Ed Sullivan himself:

  1. Cassius Clay [Muhammad Ali]
  2. Ronald Reagan
  3. Ronald Isley [lead singer, Isley Brothers]
  4. Elvis Presley

So as the Sunday night football season has ended, and we all know by now who has won the Super Bowl ~ and as the Boys of Summer have yet to commence ~ this might be a wonderful change of pace.  So a recommendation for every generation this weekend The Ed Sullivan Show once again on a Sunday night. Have a great weekend, laura.  Trivia answer: Elvis Presley
