BEAUMONT, CA — A 17-year-old Beaumont boy who was pulled over this week by law enforcement officers was not only believed to be selling marijuana but was also carrying a ghost gun in his vehicle, according to the Riverside County Sheriff's Department.

The teen, who was not publicly identified due to his age, was pulled over by gang task force officers at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday in the area of Beaumont Avenue and 8th Street in Beaumont for a vehicle code violation, the sheriff's department reported.

He let officers know there was a gun in his vehicle. When officers searched the auto, they found "a loaded non-serialized firearm," otherwise known as a ghost gun, according to the sheriff's department.
