Major Wreck In Badlands Involved 12+ Vehicles, CHP Says
Injuries were reported in the morning crash.

BEAUMONT, CA — More than a dozen vehicles collided in an early morning crash along the the westbound Moreno Valley (60) Freeway near Beaumont, near a stretch of roadway referred to as the Badlands, officials reported Thursday. At least one person was hurt, reports indicate.
The wreck was reported at 6:29 a.m. near Gilman Springs Road, prompting a temporary full closure of the westbound side of the freeway at Interstate 10 in Beaumont, according to Caltrans and CHP reports.
Reports from the scene indicated that more than a dozen vehicles were involved in the crash, including at least one big rig. Drivers reported hours-long delays on Thursday morning following the incident.

Traffic was backed up for miles while crews worked to clear the scene, but according to the CHP, traffic lanes reopened at about 8:30 a.m., and a SigAlert issued for the crash area was canceled.
