'Person of Interest' Named in Monday's Fatal Shooting of Banning Man [UPDATE]

Authorities today identified a "person of interest" in the shooting death of a 32-year-old man in Banning.

Banning police investigators said they were looking for Ronald Dean Ricks and warned that he is considered to be armed and dangerous.

Police did not provide his age or hometown, nor reveal of motive for the shooting.

The victim, Michael Gordon of Banning, was gunned down at 11:50 a.m. Monday in the vicinity of Wyte Way and Gilman Street and was pronounced dead about 15 minutes later, according to a coroner's report.

Authorities on Tuesday released the name of a 32-year-old man killed in a shooting in Banning.

Michael Gordon of Banning was gunned down at 11:50 a.m. on Monday in the vicinity of Wyte Way and Gilman Street and was pronounced dead about 15 minutes later, according to a coroner's report.

Police have yet to release any details regarding the circumstances of the shooting. A reporter's phone call to the Banning Police Department was not immediately returned.
