The man shot himself dead off the 91 freeway, California Highway Patrol officials said.

CORONA, CA — A man who was possibly connected to a Los Angeles County murder killed himself following a police chase into Riverside County, authorities said Friday. The chase started around 8:45 p.m. Thursday in Hesperia and ended all the way at Green River Drive in Corona.
The San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department told the California Highway Patrol they were in pursuit of a Toyota Tacoma on Thursday night as it traveled south on Interstate 15 in Hesperia, said CHP Public Information Officer Dan Olivas.
"Further information revealed the vehicle had possibly been used in a homicide which had occurred in Los Angeles County," Olivas said.

CHP assumed control of the pursuit on the 15 at Limonite Avenue, the CHP officer said. Two spike strips were eventually deployed, but the driver was able to continue evading and transitioned to the westbound Riverside (91) Freeway.
"The vehicle exited the freeway at Green River Rd. and came to a stop on Rio Vista St., south of SR-91, where a felony stop was initiated," Olivas said in a news release. "The driver, a Caucasian male adult was armed with a hand gun and was later pronounced deceased from a self inflicted gun shot wound."
