Mayor (former) Roger Berg Lies to the Citizens of Beaumont

In his 2013 State of the City address, Mayor Berg claims $11 million reserves. In Berg's preparation for his character witness testimony for Alan Kapanicas' criminal trial he will argue that he, as a Council Member, was fully informed by Kapanicas, Aylward, and Aklufi of the financial conditions of the City. He has said as much here on the Patch.

The City revealed last year, they discovered through an internal investigation that there were no reserves and had not been any reserves for years. The reserves for all the city's funds were drawn down by Kapanicas, Aklufi, and Berg to hide their corruption beginning as early as 2008.

In the reserves slide, Berg claimed a steady reserves above $10 million since 2006.

Roger Berg needs to answer for this.

Was Berg aware of the financial state of the City in 2013 and lied to the City then?

Did Kapanicas, Aylward, and Aklufi keep the council in the dark and Berg lies to the City now when he claims he was fully informed.

Which lie will he perjure himself with when he testifies to Kapanicas' character in front of a jury?
