UPDATE: Mom of Killed Riverside County Dispatcher Speaks at Republican Convention
The mother of a dispatcher who was killed in a crash by a driver in the country illegally spoke in Cleveland Monday night.

Riverside County, CA --The mother of a Riverside County sheriff's dispatcher killed in a collision with a pickup truck driven by an unlicensed driver in the country illegally called presumptive Republican presidential nominee Donald J. Trump her hero and lifesaver during a speech Monday night at the Republican National Convention.
Sabine Durden of Moreno Valley said that before Trump began his presidential campaign "no one listened" to her pleas to defund what have been dubbed as "sanctuary cities" which do not actively search, prosecute or detain people living in the country illegally.
Presumptive Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton "always talks about what she will do for illegal aliens and what she will do for refugees. Donald Trump talks about what he will do for America," Durden said, drawing cheers from delegates at Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland.

"We need to enforce our existing immigration laws," Durden said during her 3 1/2-minute speech. "We need to secure our borders so no other person has to ever go through this kind of grief, pain and agony, knowing this could have been prevented."
Durden also recounted the extensive criminal record of Juan Zacarias Lopez Tzun, the driver whose pickup truck collided with the motorcycle her son Dominic was driving.

Tzun's offenses included returning to the U.S. after being deported for a criminal conviction for grand theft, Durden said.
Tzun pleaded guilty in 2013 to misdemeanor charges of vehicular manslaughter and being an unlicensed driver of a motor vehicle and was sentenced to nine months in jail and five years probation. He was released after serving 35 days, Durden said.
Clinton has said that immigration enforcement must be humane, targeted and effective. She has pledged that as president, she would focus resources on detaining and deporting those individuals who pose a violent threat to public safety.
Durden's speech was followed by another address by a Southern Californian with a child killed by a man living in the country illegally.
Jamiel Shaw, father of slain Los Angeles High School football standout Jamiel Shaw II, said "only Trump called me on the phone one day to see how I was doing."
