Monsoons Continue In Pass Area Forecast, Flood Watch Issued

SAN GORGONIO PASS AREA, CA — A flood watch remains in effect across the San Gorgonio Pass Area as scattered thunderstorms continue in the forecast.
Monsoonal moisture will bring scattered thunderstorms Wednesday afternoon and early evening for the mountains and portions of the adjacent deserts and inland valleys, with a flood watch issued through 8 p.m. Wednesday in the Pass Area, according to the National Weather Service
The Pass Area will see mostly sunny skies Wednesday, with a daytime high near 96. Afternoon winds could gust as high as 25 mph with a 40 percent chance of rain.

Nighttime temperatures will drop to around 72, with a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms before 11 p.m.
The humidity is expected to diminish Thursday and Friday, but monsoonal moisture with a chance of afternoon thunderstorms return for the mountains Saturday through Monday. Some cooling and drying are possible for the middle of next week, according to the NWS.
