More evidence that Lloyd White voted on city contracts that were a clear conflict of Interest

When is Mayor going to understand that he cannot vote on contracts that benefit his employer.

I originally posted on PATCH about Lloyd White’s conflict of Interest regarding his employer. Some of the comments from different individuals stated that the contract of June 7, 2016 didn’t involve his employer; I did some additional checking and found the information on the city website. The link is listed below. Here is what happened. At the June 7, 2016 Council Meeting, Council Member Lloyd White voted to approve a contract with Interwest Consulting Group Item 8J which was on the consent calendar. This contract also included a Purchase Order for ARC GIS Software, which is produced by ERSI located in Redlands, which is Lloyd Whites Employer. I don’t know if Lloyd White read the original RFP which was sent out in Dec 2015 or if he read the agenda item for June 7 Meeting, but he voted on the original RFP and the contract award, along participation in the contract extension on the May 16, 2017 meeting. These are clear conflict of interest. Lloyd White needs to be prosecuted on this vote, as the value was more than $2,000.00. Interwest Consulting Group is ERSI partner. In addition the city gave a contract to them for Engineering Consulting Services. I wonder who recommended them. Was it Lloyd White? Lloyd White didn’t think he had a conflict, but the Fair Political Practices Commission thought otherwise. This is why they sent him a warning letter. It is up to the District Attorney now to prosecute him for not following the law. It’s not fair to the other bidders who bid on this contract.

Listed below is a link to the Agenda item from June 7, 2016.
