Motorcyclist Killed In Crash At RivCo Intersection

After an early morning collision involving a pickup truck and a motorcycle, a man was fatally injured.

RIVERSIDE, CA — A motorcycle rider died after he was involved in a collision at a Riverside intersection early Wednesday morning, authorities said.

At 5 a.m., the Riverside Emergency Dispatch Center got a call about a crash between a Toyota pickup truck and a motorcycle in the area of Indiana Avenue and Fensmuir Street, according to the Riverside Police Department.

Police and fire crews arrived on the scene to find the motorcyclist critically injured. He was taken to a local hospital, where he died of his injuries, police said.

The driver of the pickup remained on the scene to cooperate with the investigation. The man's identity has not yet been released.

Investigators say the man riding the motorcycle was traveling westbound on Indiana Avenue toward Fensmuir Street when a woman driving a pickup turned left onto Indiana Avenue in front of the motorcycle moments before the crash.

The people inside the Toyota pickup were not injured during the collision.
