Murder Investigation Launched as Body is Found in Moreno Valley Home

Details surrounding the death are limited at this time.

MORENO VALLEY, CA – The death of a man whose remains were found in a Moreno Valley home was being investigated Thursday as a possible homicide.

The victim, whose identity was not released, was located early Wednesday afternoon in a house in the 14000 block of Vinehill Street, near Delphinium Avenue, according to the Riverside County Sheriff's Department.

Sgt. Wally Clear indicated that the remains were discovered by someone visiting the property.

"Based on evidence discovered at the scene, the sheriff's Central Homicide Unit responded and assumed the investigation," Clear said. "Foul play is suspected in the victim's death."

No other details were disclosed.
