One Hurt In Cherry Valley Fire

The fire broke out on New Year's Day, officials say.

CHERRY VALLEY, CA — One person was hurt in a New Year's Day fire in the Cherry Valley area, the Riverside County Fire Department reports. The blaze broke out in the garage of a home in the 40000 block of Lincoln Place at 5:01 p.m. Tuesday.

Four engines responded to the scene and firefighters put out the flames by 5:20 p.m., officials said.

"One civilian with [a] minor injury [was] transported by AMR," the agency said.
