Stabbing In Banning, Arrest Made On Oregon Trail: Police
Police arrived to find a man and woman outside of a Banning home, one of them stabbed in a domestic dispute. Here's what happened.

BANNING, CA — A stabbing incident on Wednesday in Banning was thought to have stemmed from a domestic incident, police say. The circumstances of what led to the stabbing remain unclear, and one woman has been arrested in the incident.
Just after noon, Wednesday, Banning Police Officers arrived in the 1100 block of Oregon Trail, where a man reported he had been stabbed on a residential street. Arriving officers found him suffering non-life-threatening injuries from the knife assault.
"The victim was treated at the scene by medical personnel and later transported to a local hospital for additional medical treatment," Banning Police Acting Capt. Brandon Smith said.

Investigating officers learned the incident involved a domestic dispute between the man and a woman, identified as Tammy Smith, 58.
Smith remained at the location and was taken into custody without incident.

She was later booked into Larry D. Smith Correctional Facility for the violation of assault with a deadly weapon and inflicting corporal injury on a spouse or cohabitant.
