Over 60 Animals Rescued From RivCo Fires
Goats, rabbits, dogs and horses were some of the dozens of animals rescued from the Hill Fire and 46 Fire in Riverside County.
RIVERSIDE COUNTY, CA — More than 60 animals have been rescued from the wildfires that have swept Riverside County since Thursday — including 18 goats, 15 rabbits and four dogs, according to Riverside County Animal Services.
Animal services released the video above showing some of the animals that were evacuated during the Hill Fire, which broke out Wednesday, and the 46 Fire, which was ignited early Thursday.
The goats, rabbits and horses remained at the animal services shelter in Jurupa Valley as of Thursday afternoon. Animal services was helping the goats' owner transport the animals back to his property, spokesman John Welsh said in a statement.
