BANNING, CA — Banning is enjoying sunny, breezy days and cooler than typical temperatures this week as the marine layer reaches deep into much of Southern California.

On Monday, the high temperature only reached 82 degrees in Banning, with a low of 77. On Tuesday morning, Banning was expected to reach a high of 91 and a low of 60 under sunny skies, according to Accuweather reports.

Record minimum temperatures were recorded in parts of Riverside County on Monday, according to the National Weather Service.
Thermal recorded a low of 77. The previous record high for low temperature on May 16 was 73 set in 1996. It was 80 in Indio. The previous record was 76 set in 1976.

Tuesday, it'll be mostly sunny, with patchy fog in the morning, and highs from 80 to 85 in the valleys and Inland Empire. In the mountains, it'll be sunny and windy with highs from 74 to 84.
In the Coachella Valley, it'll be sunny and hot, with highs from 97 to 102. Tuesday evening, it'll be cool with patchy fog.
