• Refresher on new Inland high school football leagues for the 2026 season (pressenterprise.com) — Banning High's football team will compete in the Sun Valley League this season, alongside Coachella Valley, Desert Hot Springs and Yucca Valley. A total of 30 Inland schools are changing leagues, reshaping rivalries and travel for local teams. League play mostly starts in October, but these new alignments are set now for the 2026 season.

• RivCo Woman Accused Of Killing Child In DUI Crash Released From Custody (patch.com) — A woman accused in a deadly DUI crash in Perris has been released on bond after briefly being held at Smith Correctional Facility in Banning. Prosecutors allege she drove through a red light at high speed, killing a 7-year-old girl and seriously injuring her brother; she's due in court October 1.
