When the Banning-Beaumont football rivalry started many decades ago, helmets didn't have facemasks and photos were strictly black-and-white.

Yearbook photos show predecessors of today's Broncos and Cougars, who face off at 7 p.m. tonight to see who's best in the San Gorgonio Pass.

The images are from the 1940s, '50s and '60s, when each team enjoyed spells of dominance.
