Recycling Thieves are costing you money

Stealing Recyclables from the Waste Management Recycle bins in a crime

If you see this guy digging through your gray recycle bin at night in the early morning hours, call the Beaumont Police and report him. He is costing you money by stealing up to $100.00 per day from recyclable that would be going to Waste Management to offset the cost of your trash service. In addition I have caught him placing recyclable items that he didn't want, in the green waste container or just throwing them on the street. He is a litterbug and a thief. I noticed one my cars was broken into while he was on my street doing his stealing.

The city is required to divert 50% of our waste from the landfill. People like this guy are causing problems and costing the city documentation on their recycling program. I talked to the Police Department and they advised me if more people would report him when he is in their area, they can put a stop to his actions. He lives on the east side of Beaumont Ave, he is not homeless but lives in his mothers home. He needs to get a real job and quit waking people and animals up in the middle of the night when he is doing his illegal activity.

I have spoken to the Mayor, the Assistant City Manager, the Police Department and Waste Management. They assured me that they would do everything possible to stop this activity, all they need is the publics help. So I would encourage you to call the Police if you see this guy out at night and let them know what is going on. Working together we can help our community out and keep it safe.
