Report: Obama to Visit Coachella Valley This Weekend

The White House has not confirm the visit, but the president is supposed to be in Los Angeles for a fundraising dinner Thursday.

President Barack Obama is scheduled to visit the Coachella Valley this weekend, continuing a trend of June visits to the area, The Desert Sun reported Wednesday.

The newspaper quoted Palm Springs International Airport executive director Tom Nolan, who announced the visit during a monthly meeting of the Palm Springs Airport Commission on Wednesday.

Obama’s precise itinerary was not disclosed, but he is believed to be arriving Saturday and leaving Sunday, the paper said.

White House officials have not confirmed the visit but Obama is scheduled to be in Southern California tomorrow for Democratic National Committee fundraisers at homes in Pacific Palisades and Beverly Hills.

Obama is scheduled to be in the San Francisco area Friday to speak to the U.S. Conference of Mayors and attend Democratic National Committee and Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee events.

Obama visited the Coachella Valley each of the past two Junes.
