On the local level, our activities revolve around our motto, “Service Above Self”. We allocate our money raised to local worthy charities and causes that serve the BSGP communities. We raise money by our three major fund raising efforts:
1. We put out flags mostly along Ramsey on certain national holidays. We’re sure you’ve seen them on July 4th, Veterans Day, Flag Day…. We charge a small annual fee to the businesses along Ramsey.

2. Our annual Spaghetti Dinner. We’ve been doing our Spaghetti Dinner for about 30 years. We normally have them in September and we invite the community. It’s a low cost meal and the meals are prepared by Russo’s Italian Kitchen, DELICIOUS. Please join us in September. We normally announce the event in the Record Gazette, local newsletters, and the Nextdoor Digest.
3. Taste of the Pass. Here we invite local restaurants and spirit vendors (Grammas Country Kitchen, Russo’s Italian Kitchen, The Station Tap House, Brewery Rebellion….). We have auctions and prizes. Everyone has a good time, good food, drinks and friends. The event is normally held at the Lodge at Four Seasons. This is our biggest fundraiser.
These fund raising efforts help us with the best thing we do - distribute these funds to community and youth programs that serve the Banning, Pass community. Some of the causes we’ve helped include: Student of the Month, The Boys and Girls of San Gorgonio Pass Club, Banning Little League, Make a Wish Foundation, B.E.S.T., Braille Institute, House of Hope, The Unforgettables, Habitat for Humanity, SGM Hospital Foundation, student scholarships….
We are always looking to help charities with either financial donations, or by volunteering member labor, skills.
On the international level, Rotarians do extraordinary work including almost eliminating Polio around the world, environmental, health, education issues, disaster relief, and helping young people, plus funding scholarships to students around the world that are working on global problems and their solutions.
Who Are Rotarians?
The common thread of most Rotarians is they are volunteers who want to serve their community.
Locally they are your neighbors, friends, teachers, politicians, and local business people and business owners.
