San Jacinto to Honor America's Veterans on Veterans Day 2026
16th Annual Veterans Day Ceremony to Celebrate Those Who Served — Followed by Free Golf for Veterans
SAN JACINTO, CA — Everyone is invited to come together this Veterans Day to honor the men and women who have served our nation and helped safeguard the freedoms Americans have enjoyed for 250 years.
On Wednesday, November 11, 2026, at exactly 11:00 a.m., American Legion Post 848, the City of San Jacinto, and a dedicated committee of local veteran supporters will host the 16th Annual Veterans Day Ceremony at Golden Era Golf Course, 19871 Gilman Springs Road, San Jacinto, California.
This year's ceremony carries special significance as America celebrates its 250th anniversary. It will be a heartfelt community tribute to the generations of Americans who have answered the call to serve — and to the veterans whose courage, sacrifice and dedication have helped protect the freedoms we cherish.

A Veterans Day Tradition That Brings the Community Together
Held on the 11th day of the 11th month at the 11th hour, Veterans Day is a time to pause, remember and say thank you.
The San Jacinto ceremony has become a cherished local tradition, bringing veterans, military families, community leaders, businesses and residents together for a morning of remembrance, patriotism and gratitude.

The ceremony will begin with a bagpiper making a stirring procession across the golf course toward the clubhouse, followed by the Hemet Mounted Posse presenting the colors.
Guests will then be treated to a moving program featuring patriotic music, special presentations and remarks honoring the men and women who have worn the uniform of the United States Armed Forces.
A Story of Courage from the USS Boxer
One of this year's featured keynote speakers will be Senior Chief Operations Specialist Stephanie Hare, who will share her extraordinary story of serving as Command Master Chief aboard the USS Boxer during harrowing circumstances.
Her firsthand account promises to offer attendees a powerful glimpse into the courage, leadership and dedication required of those serving our nation — and a reminder of the tremendous responsibilities carried by America's service members.
Free Golf for Veterans
The celebration doesn't end when the ceremony concludes.
Following the ceremony, veterans are invited to play golf at Golden Era Golf Course at no charge.
It is a small way for the community to say thank you to those who have served.
Lunch for Everyone
Following the ceremony, Authority Real Estate and the Hemet Kiwanis Club, both longtime supporters of local veterans, will provide a complimentary lunch for everyone attending the celebration.
Their continued generosity helps make this annual event possible and demonstrates the strong community support that surrounds San Jacinto's veterans.
A Community Thank You
San Jacinto City Councilmember and Veterans Day committee member Phil Ayala, himself a veteran, emphasized why events like this remain so important:
“As a veteran myself, I know the importance of acknowledging veterans for all they have done to serve our country.”
Lester Fountain, Commander of San Jacinto American Legion Post 848, added:
“Especially during this 250th Anniversary of our country, it is important that we remember the veterans who have served to protect the freedoms we enjoy. This is our opportunity as a community to say thank you.”
