Santa Claus Coming to Town to Help Charities

Proceeds from an event at the Highland Springs Resort will benefit Habitat for Humanity and a local food bank.

Santa and Mrs. Claus will be the featured guests during a fundraiser at the Highland Springs Resort.

The "Christmas Brunch with Mr. and Mrs. Santa Claus (and their helpers) event, set for 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Dec. 18, will include traditional music and meal served inside the Grand Oak Restaurant.

Those in attendance will have the chance to have their picture taken with Mr. and Mrs. Claus, as well as hear a story read by Mrs. Claus. There will also be performances from A Repertory Theatre.

Attendees are asked to bring a canned food item to benefit local food banks. Other proceeds will go to benefit Habitat for Humanity.
