Several local organizations including the Beaumont Cherry Valley Rotary Club are sponsoring Celebrate Reading and the Arts, which will feature not only a Scholastic book fair, but games and activities for youth.
"Celebrate Reading and the Arts is a book fair and a fun day for children to be involved in educational and learning activities such as storytelling, arts and crafts, gardening, music and dancing," the Rotary Club said. "Recreation reading is an important way to encourage children to learn, providing opportunities to stimulate their interests to explore a variety of subjects and improving reading skills, performance in school, prospects for careers and employment, and a life-time enjoyment of books."
