"Stories from the Porch" & Friends Book Sale at Beaumont Library
Free entertainment, free refreshments, prizes, books as low as $1 a bag, and surplus furniture for sale

Bring the kids, bring the whole family to Beaumont Library between 10 a.m. and noon on Saturday, October 13, for "Stories from the Porch" and a special Friends of the Library book sale.
An annual tradition, "Stories from the Porch" features community leaders reading books to children and their families from the front steps of Beaumont Library's historic 1914 Carnegie building.
As usual there will be free hot dogs, prepared by the Lions Club, and other refreshments, along with door prizes for those attending.

In conjunction with the "Stories from the Porch" program, Friends of the Beaumont Library will have a Special Book and Surplus Furniture Sale from 9:30 to noon that morning in the library's Laura May Stewart Community Room. Furniture to be sold will include folding tables, study tables, and chairs.
This sale is in addition to the Friends weekly used book sale, held every Saturday morning from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Some books will be priced at $ 1.00 a bag, but other special books at a higher, but still affordable, price.

The special books will include books concerning World War II, foreign language books, videos, vinyl records, and as always a large selection of children's books. There will also be some games and puzzles available.
