Supervisor Yxstian Gutierrez Honors Local Changemakers at Inaugural District 5 Luncheon

RIVERSIDE COUNTY, CA — Riverside County Fifth District Supervisor Yxstian Gutierrez recently hosted the inaugural District 5 Women of Impact and Community Champion Luncheon, on 21 May, 2026, honoring exceptional individuals whose leadership, service, and dedication continue to strengthen communities across Calimesa, Beaumont, San Jacinto, Banning, Hemet, and Moreno Valley.

The event brought together community leaders, volunteers, and public servants to recognize those making meaningful and lasting contributions throughout the region.

“Your work in our community has not gone unnoticed,” said Supervisor Gutierrez. “As Riverside County Supervisor, I am proud to recognize the impact you have made in support of our residents. Your selfless efforts continue to uplift and strengthen our communities, and I could not be more grateful. Although you may not seek recognition, you absolutely deserve it. Enjoy today.”

Women of Impact Honorees

The Women of Impact award recognizes individuals whose leadership, compassion, and commitment to service have created positive change across the Fifth District. Through advocacy, mentorship, volunteerism, and civic engagement, these honorees exemplify what it means to serve others.

Honorees included:

• Kerri Mariner (Cabazon) — Longtime volunteer supporting students and families through the Banning Unified School District
• Linda Molina (Calimesa) — City Councilmember focused on enhancing quality of life for residents
• Susan Aguilar-Martinez (Beaumont) — Community leader actively engaged in local programs and initiatives
• Jackie Peterson (Hemet) — City Councilmember and active leader in veterans, business, and arts organizations
• Dr. Patricia Scott (San Jacinto) — Planning Commissioner and advocate for community engagement and equity
• Valerie Vandever (San Jacinto) — City Councilmember dedicated to volunteerism, veteran support, and regional leadership
• Sara Kelley (Hemet) — County leader mentoring youth through the Community Risk Reduction Cadet Program
• Queenkekki Dorughn (Norco) — Advocate serving autistic children and adults for more than 20 years
• Angel Galache (Moreno Valley) — Deputy City Manager strengthening small business and community partnerships
• Elena Baca-Santa Cruz (Moreno Valley) — City Councilmember and labor leader supporting public employees and residents

Community Champion Honorees

“Community Champions are individuals who go above and beyond to support and strengthen the communities around them,” said Supervisor Gutierrez. “Through volunteerism, leadership, mentorship, and public service, these honorees demonstrate an unwavering commitment to making a positive and lasting impact throughout the Fifth District.”

Honorees included:

• Andrea Davila (Beaumont High School) — Riverside Youth Advisory Council member supporting youth leadership initiatives
• Anthony Colindres (Cornerstone BBQ) — Supports the community through fundraisers, first responders, and local organizations
• Leroy Miller (Banning) — City Councilmember dedicated to extensive volunteer service in the community
• Austyn Reavis (Hemet) — Presidential Service Award (Gold Level) and Girl Scout Silver Award recipient
• Linda Greilich (San Jacinto) — Hosts no-cost events and fundraisers at the Golden Era Golf Course supporting over 450 organizations.
• Edwin Quinonez (Moreno Valley) — Chamber leader expanding scholarships, education programs, and family support initiatives
• Rylee Peak (Moreno Valley) — Youth Advisory Council member contributing hundreds of volunteer hours
• Alicia Berridge (Moreno Valley) — Founder of Rising Stars Business Academy supporting at-risk youth
• Gale Hill (San Jacinto) — Leader in the Student of the Month Program supporting scholarships for local students
• Sean Ortiz (Moreno Valley) — MoVal Pony Baseball board member expanding programs for local families
