Support Letter - We Deserve Much Better! Our Next Riverside County Supervisor...

Dear Neighbor,

My name is Olivia Orozco, and my husband Mark Orozco is busily campaigning to be your next Riverside County Supervisor.  As the election day comes nearer – June 3, 2014, I wish to share with you why my husband is the best choice that makes sense for our district.

The truth is, when Mark first decided to run for office, he and I were very excited about meeting families like ours, and getting to know the many good people that make up the 5th District. However, that feeling of elation changed as intimidation tactics and dirty politics came out against Mark and our family from the current incumbent and his “friends” who are illegally using our tax dollars to smear and scare my husband who is an honest man.

Digging deep into my heart, I remember how my father raised me to believe that you can do anything you want as long as you work hard for it.  Mark is one of the hardest working people I know, and he has come a long way from the adversities and challenges he had to face when he was younger.  We are both the first in our family to graduate from college, travel and study in a foreign country,  maintain a successful career in education, and demonstrate the importance of continuing our education by completing our masters degree together while raising our children.  None of which came easy to us.

While we have a lot in common, we differ in the fact that he is determined to serve you and give more to our community. I would be content to have him home and help raise our three daughters and future son, but I have committed myself to his vision in becoming the next Riverside County Supervisor and a public servant to the people. This means that our family is willing to sacrifice a piece of daddy everyday with you because we strongly believe that he will connect directly with all of the constituents in our district.

I do believe we need fresh leadership at the county level that understands the needs of today, that support families like our own, veterans, teachers, children, and seniors.  Our focus together, needs to be on creating a better quality of life that fulfills its promises to our future, and safer neighborhoods for our children and for our sake.

Of the two candidates running for supervisor, my husband is the underdog and is battling a long time politician (12 years as our current Supervisor) who is on his way out. Mark thrives in this capacity and would appreciate your support but more importantly, your vote. Please help us get the right person elected.
