The Beaumont Cherry Valley Water District Commissioners are on Board

At tonight's BCVWD Board of Commissioners meeting, the commissioners voted 5-0 to have the staff draw up a resolution to be voted on at next month's meeting.

A motion to draft a resolution telling the county board of supervisors not to make any zoning changes to the County's General Plan in The Pass was made by Dr. Blair Ball and seconded. Four of the five commissioners spoke about the Gateway Warehouse and the spot zoning proposed by the developer and supported, it seems, by Supervisor Marion Ashley. All four commissioners said they were opposed and are likely to approve their resolution, assuming Ashley doesn't create a new committee...

This is good news as we move closer to having every elected body in The Pass on record opposed to the practice of spot zoning the Riverside County Board of Supervisors appear to support throughout the county.

Next up on the calendar, the Calimesa City Council on Monday.
