Walmart Bus Stop Getting Beauty Treatment In Beaumont

Construction on the project is expected to be completed in May,

BEAUMONT, CA — The Walmart bus stop in Beaumont is getting a makeover. The city has secured grant funding to improve the deteriorating stop at 2nd Street Marketplace.

The bus stop is the only regional connection point within the Pass area for passengers using Beaumont Transit, Banning Transit, Riverside Transit Agency, and Sunline, but it's gotten a little dreary over the past decade, according to officials.

With construction expected to be completed in May, the bus stop will get new shelters, landscaping, bike racks, waste receptacles, and space for city-advertised events and marketing.
