Woman Fatally Crushed In RivCo Fast Food Drive-Thru
A woman was crushed to death by her own car in the drive-thru of a local McDonald's restaurant, police report.

BEAUMONT, CA — Beaumont police are investigating the death of a woman who died after getting crushed by her car in a drive-thru over the weekend. The woman, who died at the hospital after suffering fatal injuries at McDonald's, has not yet been publicly identified.
According to the Beaumont Police Department, the incident happened around 1:45 p.m. Saturday at the eatery in the 1400 block of East Second Street Marketplace.
"The Beaumont Police Department responded to the location and found a female driver pinned in between her vehicle and the restaurant," police said in a news release. "The Beaumont Police Department and Riverside County Cal Fire extricated the driver and rendered medical aid."

The woman was rushed to the hospital, where she died.
"During preliminary investigation of the collision it appears that the female driver had entered the drive-thru lane of the restaurant and had attempted to exit her vehicle without placing the vehicle in park," police said. "The vehicle continued moving forward, running over the driver and pinning the woman between the vehicle and the wall of the business, causing the fatal injuries."

It was not clear why the woman exited her vehicle.
